I thought of visiting Cole's Point Resort to get away from it all: the hectic city life and the daily routine just to revitalise myself. Found myself amidst nature and a family setting resort which just was very relaxing at Campbellford, Ontario in Peterborough county.
I would have thought that the area would have been too commercialised but, in fact, it is the opposite. The resort is nestled between the Crowe River and the Trent-Servern waterway, a quiet and serene setting one would appreciate very much.
There are various ways to enjoy the resort. One can either have a trailer and take it to the resort to make it their second home.
Another option is to drive up an RV and still enjoy the environment.
Else, one can just simply rent a cottage for a weekend getaway.
For more adventurous people, camping is also an option.

What makes the resort even better is that it is a resort for the entire family.
A playground wth swing sets, see-saw and a slide is set at the middle of the park for everyone to enjoy.
Since this is a resort, there are other activities to enjoy as well:

A Rec-hall with a jukebox, ping pong tables, pool tables. During long weekends, a DJ comes to kick up the entertainment a notch.
There are boats to navigate through the Trent-Severn river or the Crowe river. (right)
Communing with nature: fishing - for both children and adults. There is a fish hut for people to clean their fish (imagine that!)
What summer is complete without ice cream? It is not far as it is sold at the office/store.
Ah, perhaps a quiet and relaxing time with just nature. The beauty of the pristine Crowe river.
There are other places by Campbellford to go as well such as Ranee River where a suspension bridge links Campbellford to Ferris Provincial park.
What else are you waiting for? Come to Coles' Point Resort at Campbellford, Ontario......and revitalise your soul! It certainly did mine!
